About Watford Hindu Group
Our Story
A Community Built on Faith, Culture & Service
Watford Hindu Group began in 1973, when a small group of families came together to celebrate Janmashtami at the Hare Krishna Temple in Letchmore Heath.
From these humble beginnings, our community has continued to grow. What started with around 80 members has developed into a vibrant community of nearly 2,000 people in 2026.
Today, Watford Hindu Group provides opportunities for people of all generations to connect with their Hindu heritage, celebrate festivals, learn about their culture and build lasting friendships.
Our journey has always been guided by the values of faith, inclusion, education, community and service.
